MEET OUR CREW | MAVRICK McKINLEY

If you ask around the crew who their favorite person to work with is, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll hear Mavrick’s name.

Mavrick is polite, funny, hardworking, and about as easy going as they come. He’s motivated, dependable, and always ready to jump in wherever he’s needed.

He’s also our go to guy for all the high, heavy lifting the short guys can’t reach. Every crew needs one!

Mavrick brings a great attitude to the jobsite, works hard without making a fuss, and makes the workday a whole lot more enjoyable for everyone around him.

We’re pretty dang lucky to have him on the crew! 👏

Meet Our Team: Tom Laud

If something needs fixed, organized, figured out, or someone just needs a good laugh, Tom is our guy.

Tom is our resident Mr. Fix-It and Yard Czar, keeping things running smoothly and somehow making it fun along the way. He’s organized, trustworthy, reliable, hardworking, kind, and about as easy to work with as they come.

He also happens to be Stefan’s uncle, which means he’s family in more ways than one. We’re pretty lucky to have someone like Tom on our crew, someone you can count on to show up, get the job done right, and keep everyone laughing while he does it.

Meet Tom, the man keeping the yard (and probably the rest of us) in line.

Meet the Crew: Tristan Oberwegner

Tristan has been with McCrumb Construction & Marine since 2020 and now leads our barge crew.

He’s the kind of guy every crew hopes to have; motivated, respectful, knowledgeable, and one heck of a welder. He takes pride in every job, keeps his cool when things get hectic, and leads by example. The guys respect him because he’s earned it.

He’s an old soul with the occasional wisecrack that keeps everyone laughing just enough to get through the day.

When he’s off the clock, you’ll usually find him with his wife, spending time outdoors, or out snowmobiling.

We’re lucky to have Tristan on our team. Thanks for all you do!

MEET THE CREW ⚓️

Stefan McCrumb; owner, operator, problem solver, and third-generation dock builder behind McCrumb Construction & Marine, Inc.

For Stefan, this business is about far more than building docks. It’s family.

Stefan rejoined the crew in 2020, working alongside his dad, Brett, and became a partner in 2024. In 2025, Brett sadly passed away, leaving behind an incredible legacy built on craftsmanship, integrity, and a lifelong commitment to doing right by people. Today, Stefan carries that legacy forward as an owner of the company, continuing the work they built together.

You’ll still find him out in the field just as much as in the office bidding jobs, running equipment, solving problems, working alongside the crew, answering the phone, and still thinking about work long after everyone else has gone home.

Brett’s influence is still present in every dock built and every project completed. Stefan is proud to honor that foundation while continuing to grow the family business in his own way.

We’re pretty dang proud to have him at the helm.

Today, on Brett McCrumb’s birthday, we pause to honor a man whose life, work, and leadership were firmly rooted in faith, integrity, and service to others.

Brett believed his work was a calling. He led with humility, honesty, and a deep trust in God, striving to do what was right even when it was difficult. He took great pride in his work on Flathead Lake, but his greatest investment was always in people; giving them responsibility, believing in their potential, and finding joy in watching them rise to the occasion.

Brett’s faith shaped the way he led and the way he lived. He understood that true success wasn’t measured by what he built, but by how he treated others and the example he left behind.

Though Brett passed in May of 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, his legacy continues. His values remain the foundation of McCrumb Construction & Marine, Inc., and his guidance is felt daily as Stefan steps forward to lead with the same principles his father instilled.

We take comfort in God’s promise:
“Well done my good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”
Matthew 25:23

Happy Birthday, Brett. We are grateful for your faith, your leadership, and the legacy you left behind.
