Storms in western Oklahoma?

Sadly it's not meant to be. Another dry day today.

Go outside at 11pm tho tonight. That's right TONIGHT for a LUNAR eclipse!

As far as I know it should be a total lunar eclipse.

I'll share pictures tomorrow. Lord knows I'll be up.

I don't get much more than about 5 minutes of sleep a night anymore.

I will admit when I'm wrong.

I looked at the models and all the news stations and everything said rain tonight.

Then the system stalled and didn't even make it past Fairview.

I know this page has gone quiet.

But with the lack of storms, we've hit our lull period of the year.

I will try to post some things. Heads ups, fun facts, infographics, that sort of thing.

Regardless of that.

STORM CHANCES RETURN TONIGHT!

they said no rain for the next week two days ago and now they're saying rain.

Lemme give you the rundown shakedown course on tonight.

So there IS a CHANCE of severe weather. Farther west from us, we're looking at a wind-driven 75 mph wind threat.

North Central Oklahoma and Southern Kansas?

Confidence is low in severe. But we'll take all the rain we can get, eh?

Tonight's threats consist of 55 mph winds and quarter sized hail in the strongest of storms for our area. Not everyone will see hail, nor winds. Most everyone will see measurable rainfall. Hopefully.

Timing for north Central Oklahoma and Southern Kansas looks to be about 11pm tonight to 3am tomorrow morning for the covered area, with a 12-2am window for 81 through the i35 corridor.

Regardless of that, rain.

So let's hope we get some.

It's raining a bit out here.

I swear it didn't say it was going to do this yesterday but I'm not complaining about being wrong.

Two things:

When you blow a tire out on the interstate, have the common courtesy to pull your road sharks out of the entrance ramp...

And two, drink water...

I'm out here on the interstate right now and it is ONE HUNDRED AND NINE degrees.

Heat stroke is real thing guys. Please be safe out there and drink plenty of water.
