Now Hiring experienced Finish Grade equipment operators. Must be a highly skilled Finish Grade operator on large excavators (336 CAT). Typical job task include installation of storm water drainage, clearing trees, cutting slopes, digging ponds, loading trucks, setting culverts, fine grading around infrastructure and utilities. Work will be performed in close quarter commercial and residential site work around people and other equipment. Taking instructions then applying them to the job while adapting to changing work conditions is critical to everyday success.
A hands-on equipment evaluation is required by all potential candidates before being hired. This gives us a chance to assess your ability to safely operate the equipment and gauge your skill level. If all requirements have been met a salary offer will be given based on this evaluation.

You must meet ALL of the requirements listed below to be considered for the job.

Requirements:

• You must live within 30 minutes of our office located in Ponchatoula, LA
• 5 years experience as FINISH Grade Excavator Operator
• Able to read plans, calculate cut/fills, and check elevations using a laser and GPS
• Capable of performing daily equipment inspections, minor maintenance, and cleaning
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Able to pass required drug screening and physical
• Willing to work up to 7 days a week

You will answer directly to a supervisor and complete jobs as assigned to exact standards. Pay is based on job related work experience. Requirements:
-18+ Years of age
-Valid driver’s license
-Must have your own vehicle (Getting dropped off and picked up doesn't count)
-Operating experience on Skid-steer and Tractor required
-Must be able to safely pull and backup trailers
-Able to lift up to 80lbs continuously
-Perform physical tasks outdoors
-Willing to work in all weather conditions
-Ability to follow instructions and perform work to exact standards
-Positive attitude and strong work ethic
-Willing to work up to 6 days a week locally
-Able to pass pre-enrollment drug screening
