Citizens of Bernie, I just want to try and clear the air a little bit about what is taking place in town regarding the water mains being hit by our crews. Of course you know by now, RLPersons has been contracted to replace the water lines in the city. When we are working a project, we always call one call to have the utilities located. By law, the owner of the utilities have so many days to locate or hire someone to locate their owned utilities prior to us excavating. Everyone makes mistakes, however, in both of the instances, the water lines were improperly located. This will likely continue until lines are acuraterly located.
