Be safe and check your exhaust and intake piping.

Here are some examples of direct vent exhaust and intake piping. These are used on high efficiency boilers, furnaces and water heaters.

As we prepare for what may be a “monster” snow storm and if your home has a high efficiency gas fired heating system or water heater, please make sure they are kept clear from snow and ice.

Blocked intake and exhaust piping can cause your system to shut down, cause damage to your system and possibly cause carbon monoxide to leak into the house.

So please make sure to check your venting.
