Happy Women’s History Month!

We’d like to take this opportunity to recognize the hard work of the amazing women of our team, and on all FIRST teams, who not only design, build, and code robots, but who are also sharing their time, creativity, and energy empowering future generations of girls in STEM.

FRC is about more than just building robots—it’s about breaking barriers and creating a future where everyone has a place in STEM. Here’s to the mentors, students, and engineers who continue to inspire us all!

We’d like to recognize our FIRST For All Fellow for the 2024-2025 season, Sara!

We are so proud to have Sara as our representative in this amazing program. Throughout the off-season, Sara attended meetings and applied her learnings to create a plan, highlighting inclusivity, diversity, and collaboration both within and outside of our team.

Sara is working to make our team a better place, and we’re excited to see the effects of her plan on our community!

Thank you for all of your hard work, Sara! We 🖤💛 you!

We had so much fun at the Port Hueneme Regional this weekend! 🌊

We were incredibly lucky to be the captain of Alliance 8 with and where we made it to the semifinals! 🙌 Thank you for all of the memories and we hope we get to work with you both again! 🫶

We also want to thank all of the volunteers, hosts, and sponsors of the event for all of their hard work, time, and energy that they put into making it possible. And a special thank you to Ms. Velma and her awesome light-up shoes! ✨

Finally, thank you to all of our students, mentors and parents who made our experience at this event so amazing. We could not have done it without each and every one of you. 🖤💛

We’ll see you all at the San Diego Regional in only 16 days!! Good luck, everybody!

BIG thanks to parents and mentors for volunteering at Port Hueneme.

Week 6 is complete!

We’ve made huge progress with our robot this week as we’re approaching Port Hueneme Regional! Auto-scoring for L2, L3, and L4 is live and we also can automatically intake algae! Controls is tuning all the subsystems, greatly improving our extension speed. We have also started training our Analytics scouts for competition and our Business department is hard at work continuing to prep for competitions! Huge shoutout to everybody for all the hard work this week!

While we have been hard at work on the robot, we always make time for FIRST. The FTC League Championship was hosted on our campus where our students and mentors were judges, refs, field reset, set up and clean up, and even as DJ! We had an awesome opportunity to tour the amazing FTC judge volunteers around our shop and give them a preview of our FRC robot. Congratulations to all of the winners of the Euclid and Gauss tournaments. Special shoutout to our own Parker Robotics FTC teams, Steady State and Solid State, who competed in their final competitions this weekend. You are amazing!

Overclocked is very excited to announce the release of our Battery Training Document and our CAM Standard Guidelines!

Over the last couple years, our team has had some trouble with battery handling and upkeep. New batteries are expensive and pretty easily damaged so during this training season, we created a new system for how we handle them. Our Controls department defined procedures like how to safely pick them up, charge them, and more. Along with the slideshow that can be used in your own trainings, we made a quick video to help further explain the procedure.

Additionally, this season we updated our CAM Standards. Originally posted in 2023, we’ve updated some of the procedures so they’re both safer and more efficient as well as accessible and easy to use for other teams.

You can find the links to both documents in our bio!
We hope that they’re helpful!

Week 5 Recap: Week 5 already?! We’re deep in it now! 🤿

Version 1 of our robot has been assembled by Build and is now in the hands of Controls to set up the eel-ectrical systems and get to coding! Our analytics department is debugging their interface and Business and Media is getting ready to submit for awards, getting our competition shirts made, and continuing our pit trainings as Week 1 of Comp is inching closer! 🐛

We are so excited to shell-ebrate with you guys at Port Hueneme in only 16 days! 🐚🥳

Week 4 Recap: From coding autonomous to Drive Team bonding, this last week has been shrimp-ly amazing across the board! We have a functioning drive base and Build is making excellent progress machining parts for the subsystems. Controls is hard at work creating our first Autos, and our award submissions and scouting interface have been coming along swimmingly thanks to our Business and Analytics teams.

We’re so excited to sea everyone at Port Hueneme in only 25 days! Good luck everybody, keep up the fin-tastic work.

Week 3 Recap: It’s been a very busy and electric week as we prep for our Week 1 Regional at Port Hueneme. Controls has kicked it into gear and has started to get our robot up and running with our Tele-Op. Also, Design has completed V1, and Build has been diligently working with getting powder coating done, CNCing and lathing many of our key components, and assembling our gripper system.

Week 2 Recap: Last week we finished building the drivetrain, edited our swerves’ gear ratios, and wired together all the important electrical components. We also polished up our subsystems in CAD and our analytics team worked on their behind-the-scenes interfaces.

Also this past weekend our team members volunteered at the FTC Meet #3 at Sage Creek HS, where the FTC teams we mentor competed, and also at the SoCal FLL Championship at Capo Valley HS with our friends and . Thanks for all the hard work everyone - what a great week of robotics!

Build Season Week 1 Recap: Team 2485 Overclocked has been working hard designing our robot’s subsystems. Check out the videos of our in-progress coral and algae systems! We were also very productive building field elements, which are almost done. We’re excited about how much progress we’ve made. Thank you to all our hard-working students and mentors who have been making this progress happen!
