Our employee resource group, DEN, recently volunteered at the 2026 Special Olympics at Victoria West High School on Friday, March 27th.

We hosted the athletes at the Dow Hydration Station, coordinated the track event award ceremony, and prepared a home-cooked meal for the athletes and their families.

We were proud to welcome 272 middle school girls from our local schools to Girls in STEM Day! Students had a full day of hands‑on STEM experiments, curiosity‑sparking activities, and meaningful conversations about the future.

A huge thank you to our incredible partners who helped make this day possible - CBEC, our valued local nonprofit partner, for working alongside us to bring this impactful event to life and Veolia, for sponsoring lunch for the girls and volunteers!

On September 18, 2025, what began as an ordinary afternoon quickly turned into a fight for life. Jason Eakins was driving home from a job in Port O’Connor when his work truck veered off the highway at full speed and came to rest in a water-filled ditch following recent rains.

“Our employees recognized immediately that this was a medical emergency and began CPR without hesitation,” Weitz said. “Within minutes, trained responders were on scene with the equipment and experience to intervene. From clear communication to seamless coordination with EMS, everyone understood their role. A difference of even a few minutes could have meant a very different outcome.”
