Her she is all finished. Now she is ready to receive her guest for another few generations. As much fun as I had working on this home nestled in this this quiet West Virginia mountain valley. It pales in comparison to the enjoyment I got from talking to its owner Benny. He's an army veteran and a retired police officer who grew up in this home.
He showed me the one room school he had to walk to as a young boy that is at least 2 miles down the road..its still standing and in good shape.
He would stop by at lunch to take a look on the days progress and to check on me. Often telling me another story about the house or of his love for his hometown. These talks were really a great experience for me. Having been a police officer for a few years and I can track my family's roots back to West Virginia as well.
