What a great surprise! Met with the film-makers while leading a story lab at ANOMALIA in 2018. The story was set in the mean-outer streets of Prague. We had much fun brainstorming scenarios. Not your usual animated subject matter and it stands out! Hurikán premiered at Annecy and received the audience award for short films.

Highlights from 2015 - Lured to China by opulent dinners hosted by Southern China’s wealthiest real-estate mogul, one of GSM’s top executives is captured. Scheduled to work on a top-secret feature film, he instead is taken to a remote mountain village and forced to dig for a rare ore. A hand-mined mineral needed to produce eye-shadow paint for the manufacturing of Barbie dolls. In addition to the back-breaking work, before breakfast it was mandatory to whittle 100 toothpicks from large stalks of bamboo. Fortunately, a Hong Kong couple managed to smuggle the GSM executive back to the US in a shipping container filled with the fore-mentioned Barbie-dolls.

Paul bought new (old) red couches for the studio. I did a little research. They were used in a deleted scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey. The scene took place on the orbital space station. On the giant station there resided a ho**er with a huge afro and the couches were in her living quarters. Dr. Floyd enters. The door closes blocking our view, and the rest is left to your imagination.
