Since opening for business in September of 1993, IAS has been proudly servicing OEM customers throughout New England. Our mission from the outset was to provide a quality product at competitive prices backed by unmatched support —both before and after the sale. While a lot has changed since then, our commitment to our customers remains the same.
Industrial Automation Supply, Inc. has built its reputation by putting the customer first. The staff here, most of whom have been part of the IAS family for an extended period, remain committed.
After nearly 33 years, I’ve decided to step aside and acknowledge that it is time to hand the reigns to another entity to continue this journey and allow this company to take even bigger steps forward.
Making the decision to retire, though the right thing to do, has been difficult. Finding the right company to continue the legacy and take this company to the next level has been a unique challenge, and I am thrilled to announce that Airline Hydraulics is buying IAS.
Airline is an ESOP with a very similar family first culture to ours, their core values nicely align with ours, and IAS provides Airline with a New England presence and a team of professionals second to none. They provide IAS with the management structure and resources to accelerate growth. Throughout the negotiations, I couldn’t have been more impressed with their passion, innovation, and accommodation. Turning the page to the next chapter means trusting someone to continue the legacy established way back in 1993.
I don’t anticipate any changes that will affect the way you do business with us. You’ll still be dealing with IAS and the staff here in Portland will continue to provide the excellent service that you’ve come to expect from us. What will change are the additional solutions that we’ll be able to provide.
Selling a company after living and breathing its success for three decades brings mixed feelings. I will sorely miss all of you that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and doing business with. My second family sadly will move on without me, but I am content knowing all will be very well looked after. I leave knowing that the company is in great hands and will prosper.
