The safety of our customers and communities is our top priority as wildfire risk continues to increase across Oregon. Here are 3 things you can do to prepare for wildfire season:

1. Make an outage kit: Prepare your home or business in case a wildfire leads to a power outage.

2. Stay informed: Make sure your contact info with PGE is up to date

3. Get information and resources: See how PGE works to protect people, property and public spaces at portlandgeneral.com/wildfiresafe

A Portland inventor’s idea is helping make your power more reliable, right here at home.

Cody Davis, born and raised in Portland, recently joined our crews in Hillsboro to see his patented technology in action.

His innovation? A ceramic coating for transmission lines that works like sunscreen —reflecting heat and helping lines stay coolerā˜€ļø

The impact? More reliable power without building new transmission lines.

This spring, we installed fire-resistant mesh wraps on nearly 3,000 power poles across rural Washington, Yamhill and Polk counties.

It’s one of the many ways we’re strengthening the grid⚔and building resilience for the communities we proudly serve.

Big things are happening for local waterways. 🌊

With support from the PGE Habitat Support Fund, the North Clackamas Watersheds Council is using environmental DNA testing near Kellogg Dam to better understand how fish are moving through the area and which habitats need the most support.

This kind of insight helps drive smarter, more effective restoration efforts that benefit our ecosystems and communities.

If you are a nonprofit interested in applying for the Habitat Support Fund grants, applications for the Habitat Support Fund are open, learn more and apply at the link below:

Shoutout to The The Freshwater Trust and all Habitat Support Fund partners for helping make this work possible! šŸ‘

This year, the PGE Foundation awarded 19 grants to nonprofits advancing STEM education—because building skills in science, technology, engineering, and math helps our communities grow and thrive.

Huge thanks to , STEM, and Enhancement, Inc. for making this work possible and helping shape the next generation of innovators.

🌊 Protecting rivers starts with understanding them.

Thanks to support from the PGE Habitat Support Fund, North Clackamas Watershed Council is using advanced environmental DNA testing near Kellogg Dam to track where local fish migrate.

This science‑based approach gives restoration teams the insights they need to focus efforts where they matter most, helping strengthen fish habitat and improve river health across our region.

PGE is proud to partner with The Freshwater Trust and our Habitat Support Fund participants to back this important work in our communities.
