What Makes a Good Sample? 🌱

The quality of your data starts with the quality of your sampling.

A few simple habits can help ensure your readings stay accurate and consistent over time:
✔ Insert the POGO straight down into the turf
✔ Tines go all the way into the soil to reach the correct depth
✔ Collect a consistent number of samples each time
✔ Follow the same sampling routine throughout the season

The goal isn't just collecting data, it's collecting data you can confidently compare over time.

Consistent sampling creates reliable trends, more accurate Visual Insights, and ultimately better decisions for your turf.

Good data starts in the field.

One of the most common questions we hear is:
"How many samples should I take?"

While every property is different, a good starting point is:
• 9–18 samples per green
• 18–24 samples per fairway
• 24–40 samples per sports field

The goal is to capture enough data to accurately represent the variability across the area you're managing.

More samples create a clearer picture of conditions beneath the surface and help TurfPro generate more accurate Visual Insights.

Remember: every sample contributes to the story your turf is telling.

The more complete the picture, the more confidence you can have in your decisions.

We’re incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality from both Tenbarge and WS Connelly. It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our partnership, share knowledge, and connect with the people helping support turf managers every day.

Keep sampling, even when GPS signal drops 🌱

TurfPro Mobile 4.3.0 now allows you to convert GPS boundary Zones into Templates whenever GPS signal becomes weak or unavailable.

Instead of interrupting your workflow, TurfPro lets you continue sampling using template sample points inside your existing Zone. Then once GPS signal returns, you can easily convert the Template right back into a GPS Zone.
