In the same way we brought electricity to our rural region that was not served by other utilities, PSREC management and Board of Directors saw and fulfilled a need to offer affordable telecommunication and Internet service in areas where it was not previously available.

Both gas and charcoal grills are dangerous if used carelessly. As more of us are cooking outside this season, don't forget to:
šŸ”„ Keep your grill away from your home, deck railings, and out from under tree branches.
šŸ”„ Keep your children and pets away from the grill area.
šŸ”„ Keep your grill clean and never leave it unattended.

Warm summer nights are perfect for roasting marshmallows, sharing spooky ghost stories and reminiscing with loved ones—but a fun night around the fire can quickly become dangerous without proper safety protocols.

šŸ”„ Make sure your fire pit is in an open area away from trees, buildings and power lines.
šŸ”„ Keep a shovel and water close. In an emergency, use the water to quench the fire and the shovel to smother the flames with dirt.
šŸ”„ Never leave a fire unattended. Pour water over live embers and turn the logs to make sure all sides of the wood have stopped burning.

Cooking with a conventional oven can heat up your house quickly, forcing your A/C to work harder. Use the summer heat as an excuse to fire up the grill and save on your bill. Grilling is a summertime tradition for a reason—to keep the heat outside.

Some summers change everything, even how you dry your laundry.

This season, we’re choosing Team Sunshine. ā˜€ļø Skip the dryer and let laundry air dry instead. Hanging clothes outside or using a drying rack indoors can help lower energy use and reduce wear on your clothes.
