Randolph-Bundy was once known as Dalton-Bundy Lumber Co., and operated in Hampton Roads as far back as the 1920s. In 1971, its owners sold the building supply portion of the business to Bass & Company of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. With this sale, Dalton-Bundy became part of a 13-location distribution business that covered the East Coast. Bass & Company filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the federal bankruptcy code in 1985. Nat Bundy, Jr. and Robert Randolph then led a group of investors that bought the Norfolk business. The group took over in 1985 and renamed the company Randolph-Bundy, Inc. In the years following 1985, the company reestablished its position in the industry and grew the business. Randolph-Bundy sells doors, windows, and other millwork to lumber yards and home centers. Many of the products are assembled in our own production facilities. Randolph-Bundy's territory includes parts of North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Delaware.
