In August, members of our Highway Design team came together for a learning and team building event, focused on developing technical knowledge, strengthening inter-team collaboration, and of course enjoying each other's company! The event featured content from many different service disciplines and professionals, reinforcing the collaborative approach that drives successful project delivery. The group finished up with some team building activities at Dave & Buster’s in King of Prussia, PA, where the TPDers were able to work together to complete a scavenger hunt. Great to see so many faces from so many places together in person! 😎✨

Tom Walter's Retirement
44 Years of Excellence... One Well-Deserved Retirement. 🎉🦺
On July 31, we had the privilege of celebrating an incredible career as Tom Walter (pictured at right) officially hung up his hardhat and retired. Tom's career spans an impressive 44 years in traffic engineering, ITS, and traffic operations, including 35 years with , where he served as Assistant District Traffic Manager in District 5-0. Since joining TPD in 2016, he has been a trusted leader, mentor, and technical resource, helping deliver impactful projects across Pennsylvania and New Jersey for municipalities, PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, DRPA, and many others.
Tom's expertise, dedication, and steady guidance have left a lasting mark on TPD and the transportation industry. We are grateful for the knowledge he shared, the relationships he built, and the example he set for so many throughout his career. Please join us in congratulating Tom on his well-earned retirement and wishing him all the best in the years ahead! 👏

🚢🗽 Out and About: NYC Sightseeing Cruise! 🗽🚢
Folks from our Planning Team recently traded conference rooms for city views and set sail on an unforgettable sightseeing cruise in New York City! Operating out of Manhattan, the guided tour showcased some of the city's most iconic sights, including the breathtaking NYC skyline, famous bridges, the Statue of Liberty, and more than 100 major landmarks along the way. It was a great opportunity to relax, connect, and enjoy one of the world's most recognizable waterfronts together. From great views to even better company, this outing was a perfect reminder that strong teams are built both in and out of the office.
