Interesting fact: The United States Fuel Administration was formed in 1917 to deal with shortages in coal and to control prices (they also put daylight savings time into effect).

Fast forward to 2022, burning anthracite has increased due to high energy costs and the world politics. So, don't delay in getting your winter supply of anthracite. This poster from 1918 says it all! 😄
