Merchen & Reed Gravel Co is looking for a log loader/processor operator (prior experience preferred).

Responsibilities include:
* Assist in the operation of safely and efficiently loading logs onto trucks
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all company polices and MSHA regulations.
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, communicating with supervisors, coworkers, and customers in a courteous and respectful manner.

Qualifications:
· 18 years of age
· Valid driver’s license
· Pass and maintain a
negative drug test
· Available for overtime and
weekend work on occasion

Preferred:
* Prior experience in a similar role
* Familiarity with log handing and loading procedures

We are looking for skilled equipment operators (experience preferred) to manage and operate the following equipment: front end loaders, graders, dozers, excavators, and off highway dump trucks.

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain the equipment in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring excellent quality of work.

Perform daily inspections, safety, and maintenance checks to ensure the equipment is in good working order.

Report any damage or safety concerns to a supervisor.

Follow all company policies/ MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Perform routine maintenance and simple repairs. Effectively communicate with supervisor/shop mechanics regarding any equipment issues.

Get along well with others and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and customers in a courteous and respectful manner.

Qualifications:
18 years of age
Valid Driver's License
Pass and maintain a negative drug test
