Cathodic Protection Technician (CP1) – Now Hiring
🔧 About the Role
Highridge Corrosion Services is seeking a skilled Cathodic Protection Technician (CP1) to join our Oklahoma field operations team. This full‑time position is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving, and working outdoors across a variety of pipeline environments.
We’re looking for motivated technicians ready to grow in the corrosion industry! You’ll apply your corrosion control expertise to install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain CP systems and equipment that protect critical pipeline infrastructure.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
Install CP Systems — ground beds, test stations, rectifiers, bonds, and more
Perform CP Potential Surveys
Set Rectifier Interruption
Conduct CIS, DCVG, and ACVG Surveys
Operate Electronic Pipe Locators including PCM
Take Pipe‑to‑Soil Readings
Troubleshoot CP Systems
Annual test reads and documentation
🎓 Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license with clean record
Ability to pass DOT drug screening & background check
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and understand technical manuals
1–2 years pipeline/corrosion experience required
Basic electrical testing knowledge (multi‑meters, half‑cells, interrupters, etc.)
Familiarity with CPDM, CPS, UT equipment, cadweld, coating evaluations, data loggers, and diagnostic tools
Ability to complete Operator Qualifications as assigned
📜 Certifications
AMPP/NACE CP1 – Required
CP2 – Preferred
💪 Physical & Work Requirements
Work outdoors in extreme heat/cold
Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, twisting
Ability to follow safety procedures
Driving between job sites in all weather conditions
🕒 Shift Schedule
Full‑time traveling, field‑based schedule
Hours vary based on project needs (typical 40+ hour weeks)
💵 Pay & Hours
Hourly Rate: $30–$40/hr
