City of Prescott Snow Removal Update as of 10:00 a.m. on January 13, 2019

Crews are continuing to plow and cinder the streets. Currently the City is operating five (5) Snow plows and six (6) Medium Duty Trucks Citywide to treat for ice. Work will continue through the afternoon and evening as conditions warrant. A crew will continue plowing, cindering and treating for ice as long as it is needed.

As trucks are clearing and spreading they are attempting to make sure every collector, residential and cul-de-sac street is passable.

Due to the cold temperatures and shady spots, ice is anticipated to remain in some locations, so cinders are being used in these areas until plows or natural melting clears the ice. Please use caution as you drive the streets in these areas.

Residents are reminded that streets are plowed in order of priority, with major roads first, and these priority streets are plowed continuously until they remain passable for public safety vehicles and other traffic.

The City will provide updates on Facebook and online at www.prescott-az.gov twice a day until streets are cleared.
