Gutter maintenance is one thing that seems to always get pushed back. Every year you push it back, thousands of dollars of damage is being created.

Water does not just come off your shingle, go into the gutter, and then in this case over flow. Believe it or not water will travel in any direction it can. Water will go up through a process called capillary action.

When your gutters are clogged this helps that capillary action work even faster. It will climb up your gutter, behind drip edge, and into your house where materials are not water friendly. Gutters should be cleaned twice a year.

Here’s a few photos to show you the kind of damage that is being caused. Keep in mind, this wood was capped with aluminum fascia metal. Not only does your fascia board rot, so do the rafters behind it.
