How does metal spinning work?

Metal spinning, also known as spin forming, is a metalworking process that involves rotating a metal disc or tube at high speed to form a symmetrical part. The process is performed using a spinning lathe and involves the following steps:
1️⃣ Clamp the blank: A flat or preformed metal blank is clamped between the tailstock and a mandrel of the desired shape and size.
2️⃣ Rotate the blank: The blank is rotated by the lathe's main drive.
3️⃣ Form the blank: A roller or spoon is used to gradually push the metal towards the center of the lathe, forming it into the desired shape.
4️⃣ Repeat: The process is repeated until the desired shape is achieved.
