Goldrush Apple Wind is thrilled to award a grant to —a team that has been saving lives and serving the towns of Princeville, Edelstein, Laura, and surrounding areas since 1980! Founded by local EMTs who saw the need for quicker emergency care, the Akron-Princeville Ambulance Services focuses on safety in the community. Now, with the help of the Goldrush Apple Wind grant, they’re taking their mission to the next level by purchasing brand-new pagers to increase response times with their unit.

These updated pagers will ensure reliable communication and faster response times, helping Akron-Princeville Ambulance maintain its exceptional standard of emergency care. Goldrush Apple Wind is honored to award a grant to the Akron-Princeville Fire Protection District, reinforcing our commitment to safety as a core focus of our community initiatives. This funding will help upgrade the department’s rescue truck with critical auto extrication equipment, including an air bag system, strut kit, and two adapters—essential tools for safely and efficiently rescuing individuals from vehicles involved in serious accidents.

This investment will significantly enhance emergency response capabilities, ensuring faster, safer, and more effective rescue operations for the community. Goldrush Apple Wind is all about collaboration and community spirit! We’re thrilled to have sponsored a grant to the Toulon Civic Association for their beloved Christmas Walk on December 9th. This annual celebration brings holiday cheer to the heart of Toulon and showcases what makes our community so special. From a charming Tour of Homes hosted by the Women’s Club to a nostalgic Visit of Christmas Past by the Stark County Historical Society, plus a cozy Hot Chocolate Bar and Santa’s arrival, the event is packed with festive fun for all ages.

Thanks to the community grant, this year’s Christmas Walk was an unforgettable experience for attendees. Even better, proceeds raised during the event went directly to local charities, reinforcing Toulon’s strong commitment to giving back and fostering connections. Goldrush Apple Wind is excited to collaborate with the City of Wyoming, IL, as they work to enhance their park system and create more opportunities for outdoor recreation. Through our community grant, residents will soon enjoy a brand-new pickleball court in Thomas Park, making it easier than ever to stay active and connected close to home. Until now, community members had to drive nearly 30 minutes to reach the nearest court—this project changes that and brings recreation right to the heart of Stark County.

Pickleball’s popularity is soaring because it’s accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels, and this new court will encourage physical activity, support mental well-being, and foster outdoor engagement for everyone. We’re proud to be a partner in this effort and can’t wait to see Wyoming residents enjoying this exciting addition to their park system!

Goldrush Apple Wind is thrilled to announce that we’ve awarded another school grant—this time to Midland Schools and the incredible Ms. Schear! This grant will fund a truly heartwarming initiative that empowers elementary and middle school students to make a meaningful impact in their community through a unique bread-making program. Working side by side, older and younger students will bake and share loaves of bread with over 475 families, learning not only culinary skills but also the value of generosity and teamwork.

This program fosters mentorship and connection across age groups, showing how collaboration can strengthen community bonds. To extend the experience beyond the classroom, Ms. Schear, the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) teacher, provides each student with a bread-and-butter recipe to take home, encouraging families to recreate the experience together. It’s a beautiful reminder that simple acts—like baking bread—can bring people together and inspire kindness. We’re proud to support Midland Schools and Ms. Schear in making this vision a reality!

The Goldrush Apple Wind team had an amazing time participating in Moonlight Madness in Wyoming last month, a holiday tradition proudly sponsored by the Wyoming Area Chamber of Commerce! This festive event brings the Wyoming community together to celebrate the season with lights, laughter, and local businesses.

To help keep kids safe and bright during these winter nights, our Goldrush team handed out 200 special safety night stocking hats—complete with built-in headlamps to the youth at the event! Now, children playing outside can light their way and stay visible while enjoying the season.

Thank you to the Wyoming Illinois Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a magical evening, and to everyone who stopped by to say hello. We’re proud to support our community and spread a little extra holiday cheer!
