Why it's so incredible to live in a small town!

Here is a great example of why I love living in Prineville Oregon.
Meet Les, since these fires have started and fire crews have been going out McKay Creek Road to work Les and or his wife Cindy have been on the side of the road Waving there sign thanking the Fire Fighters. What may you ask, do Les and Cindy get out of it? An occasional honk or a wave that's all and it's enough for Les. I stopped to thank him today for his efforts. I asked him If I could take his picture and asked why he was out here. He simply said "Fire is forever you just can't ever come back from it!"
I attached a few pictures of other signs all within a mile of Les and Cindy. Les's sign is showing some wear now but I hope he keeps holding it up and giving the fire crews a little smile at the start or end of there shift. So to Les and Cindy I say we should all be so lucky to have you holding up a sign for us!
