ASCE - WSU Student Chapter

ASCE - WSU Student Chapter American Society of Civil Engineers ASCE brings in practicing engineers to inform students about the civil engineering field.

Social events are also held so students can get to know each other outside of class. There are also opportunities for students to participate in national student competitions, including the steel bridge and concrete canoe competitions.

For the first time in WSU’s history, our students competed in the TimberStrong competition in Anchorage, Alaska, receiving honorable mentions and placing 3rd overall!

After shipping their equipment and supplies on a pallet to Anchorage, the team worked hard the day before to get the build ready to construct. Finishing in 1 hour, 24 minutes using only hammers and nails, the team came out on top for first time builders in the competition!

Congrats to our team of students!

For the first time in WSU ASCE history, our students competed in the Sustainable Solutions competition in Anchorage, Alaska!

Having only a limited time frame to prepare, the team presented well and helped shape the foundation for WSU’s future in this competition. Presenting on their solution to AI data centers, their experience shows how resilient these students are.
