A few weeks ago, our team at AI Global attended the opening of the Electrical & HVAC/R Training Center in Long Island, NY.

And honestly… what stayed with us wasn’t just the ribbon cutting or the teaser we shared on May 13th, It was the students. 👏

It all started with a donation, because we believe investing in education is investing in the future of HVAC in New York.

The HVAC conversation is changing.

And this retrofit project in Lansing, Illinois, proves why. 🔥

Built in the 1960s, this multifamily property faced constant breakdowns, rising maintenance costs, tight mechanical closets, and the challenge of preserving existing ductwork.

The solution? The Midea EVOX G3.

A compact, retrofit-friendly system designed to adapt to real-world installation challenges — not just perform on paper.

✔ 144 systems installed.
✔ One system per apartment.
✔ Existing ductwork preserved.
✔ Quiet operation.
✔ Heating performance down to -22°F / -30°C.

What made this project different wasn’t only the technology, but also the collaboration behind it. Our VP of Product & Engineering, Victor Xu, was on-site working directly with the installation team to support the project from start to finish.

Back in October 2025, we documented our journey to Long Island for a school donation initiative. Last week, we returned for something even more meaningful, the Grand Opening of Bellport’s Second .training.center

And the transformation is truly impressive.

Every classroom has been intentionally designed for hands-on learning, giving students the tools and environment they need to build real-world skills for a future that urgently needs skilled trades professionals.

We’re proud to continue supporting initiatives that invest in education, mentorship, and the next generation of HVAC talent.

Not every meaningful project makes headlines | Midea Case Study

We just wrapped an installation in Lansing, IL, and while the units count won’t break any records, what this project represents matters a great deal to us. Real families. A real community in the south suburbs of Chicago.
And an opportunity to put advanced HVAC engineering to work where it genuinely makes a difference in day-to-day comfort and quality of life.

Our VP of Product & Engineering led this one from the front, hands-on, in the field, making sure our Midea systems were specified, installed, and commissioned to perform exactly as they should. That kind of leadership on the ground is what separates good outcomes from great ones.
