The Rozell East team delivered a new UV Disinfection Building and System for the Village of Speculator.

This upgrade lets the plant disinfect treated wastewater using UV light — no chemicals required. Our crew tied into the existing outfall, installed new valving and piping, and built the structure from the ground up, self-performing all general and electrical work.

This Memorial Day carries extra meaning for our crew.

Earlier this month, Rozell had the honor of using our LINK-BELT HTC-86100 100-ton crane to lift and set six 7,700-lb columbariums at the new "Repose of the Fallen" Memorial Plaza at Lake George Battlefield Park. These columbariums now serve as the final resting place for 44 patriots associated with the Continental Army — soldiers and citizens who died of smallpox at the Fort George military hospital in 1776.

Their remains were discovered in 2019 in unmarked graves on Courtland Street in Lake George, where they had lain for nearly 250 years. On May 20, a solemn motorcade carried the caskets from the New York State Museum in Albany up Route 9 to Lake George Battlefield Park. On May 22, they were laid to rest with full military honors.

To play a role in giving these forgotten patriots a place of honor — on the eve of our nation's 250th anniversary — is something we won't soon forget.

This Memorial Day, we remember them, and all who have served.

Community Partnership: Fort Ann Highway Garage

When the Fort Ann Volunteer Fire Company approached Rozell Industries about using the old Fort Ann Highway Garage as a training facility before demolition, we didn't hesitate to say yes. Supporting our local emergency responders isn't just good business—it's the right thing to do.

On Sunday, February 15th, over 60 volunteer firefighters from across Washington and Warren counties participated in a comprehensive training exercise at the site. Ten departments turned out for this rare opportunity, including Fort Ann Fire, West Fort Ann Fire, Fort Ann EMS, Fort Edward Fire, Kingsbury Volunteer Hose Company, Hudson Falls Fire, Greenwich Fire, Hebron Fire, Bay Ridge Fire, and West Glens Falls Fire.

The real value of this training became clear through conversations with participants throughout the day. Firefighters expressed how invaluable it was to work on an actual building in a non-emergency setting—a chance to practice techniques, test equipment, and give newer members hands-on experience with tools they'd never used before, all without the pressure and danger of a real emergency situation.

This project exemplifies Rozell Industries' commitment to the communities we serve. We're proud to support the brave volunteers who protect our neighborhoods, and we were honored to play a small part in helping them train and prepare for the critical work they do every day.
