In honor of Juneteenth National Independence Day, the Town of Ragland will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865 — the day enslaved African Americans in Texas received word of their freedom, marking a pivotal moment in our nation's history. It is a day of remembrance, celebration, and reflection for all American.

*Memorial Day Schedule Update*

Just a reminder that garbage service will be delayed by one day next week in observance of Memorial Day. Trash will be picked up on Wednesday 5/27.

Reminder to our citizens. Thursday of this week will be normal operations. Next Tuesday will be first pickup day on the newly scheduled day.

As of now, your major roads in Ragland are passable. However, some side roads and isolated areas still have patches of ice, especially on bridges and shaded areas.

Drivers are urged to use caution, reduce speed, and allow extra stopping distance. Conditions may vary from street to street.
