Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Tractor Operator with a background in agriculture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating tractors with various types of attachments, as well as expertise in soil analysis, preparing soil for seeding, and collaborating with project teams to ensure smooth operations. This position requires a strong understanding of operating a tractor and agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate closed cab tractors with various attachments for sitework support, soil preparation, and seed preparation.
• Utilize soil samples to prepare soil for germination of grass.
• Assist in site preparation, including moving earth and materials to designated locations.
• Collaborate with foreman to provide resources such as water tank support, soil drying with disk harrows, lime mixing, site dress-out with drag harrow, seed/lime/fertilizer spreading, straw blowing, clean-up after paving with broom/blade, and general tractor support.
• Maintain and inspect equipment, ensuring proper function and safety standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment on job sites.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Tractor Operator in a construction or agricultural setting.
• Strong knowledge of soil testing and analysis, with a background in agriculture preferred.
• Proficient in operating a range of attachments for tractors
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Reliable to show up for work every day on time.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience preparing agricultural fields or construction sites for planting.
• Familiarity with job site safety.
• Agricultural background.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
-Report to Field Supervisor daily and receive job information, Safety updates and daily JSA’s and other updates as needed.
-Install Water, Sanitary Sewer, Stormwater, and Grading including Erosion Control.
-Safely operate a variety of small and large equipment in safe and efficient manner including but not limited to chainsaws, various hand tools, skid steers, excavators, mini-excavators.
-Ensure daily safety and preventive maintenance check list are performed on all assigned company equipment.
-Read and understand construction drawings, plans, surveys.
-Shoot grades and set up pipe laser as required by projects.

This position will include the setup and installation associated with laying water, sewer, and storm drain, as well as assisting operators in grading operations. Lifting objects over 50 pounds, continuously maintaining a clean job site, and being prepared for a physically demanding job in a daily basis is required. The best candidate will be a hard working and reliable individual who is quick to pick up new skills and grow with the company. Experience with utility and grading work are a plus. All tools and PPE will be provided.
