The Bolivia Water Sanitation committee is working with a locally run technical boarding school in the highlands of Bolivia to increase both the quantity and quality of water for students and professors throughout the year. The Sierra Leone Renewable energy committee is working in the community of Lower Allentown, Sierra Leone. The committee is currently aiming to supplement the power system of a school called the Village Learning Environment (VLE) through the use of self-sustaining, localized energy which can be expanded over time to provide greater power capabilities. The committee is planning on sending a 2-person assessment team in December, 2011. The Sierra Leone Water Systems committee is also working in Lower Allentown, Sierra Leone. The committee is working in conjunction with the LemonAid fund at a local school established by the NGO. Due the rapidly growing population of the city, the school is unable to receive sufficient water from the city's system. EWB-USA NCSU is helping develop a more efficient pipeline and public tap for the school.
