DONT FORGET END OF THE SEASON MAINTINACE

As the season comes to a close and you are pulling boats out the field don't forget your end of the year maintenance. Changing your engine and hydraulic oil at the end of the season is critical to extending the life of your equipment. Any moisture or particulates left in the system will settle during the off season and damage or rust the internals of your equipment.

Both the hydraulic system and engine use 10w-30 motor oil and we keep it in stock in 5 gallon pails and quart bottles. We also have Kohler's 300hr oil change kits and Kohler's engine maintenance kits available. All at great prices from the people that build and service your equipment along with any other items you may need to keep your boats in good order.

Other things to consider at the end of the season are your wood floor and how to prepare your engine for the long break. We recommend removing the floor and storing it in a dry barn during the off season after washing out the boat. We have two methods for keeping your engine in shape during the off season. The best method is to park it where you have to mow the grass, this will mean you have to start it every few weeks for a few minutes. The next best thing is to unhook the tank and run it out of gas. We do not recommend putting any fuel preservatives into the fuel as when the fuel evaporates the preserving chemical clogs the carburetor.

If you need maintenance that needs to be done, the best time is during the summer. This gives us plenty of time to go through and get you in perfect shape for next season. We also keep parts in stock year round.
