Progress update from Hancock United Church of Christ in Lexington!

Berkeley has been hard at work renovating the Sanctuary of this 1892 church, making the Chancel area fully wheelchair accessible by lowering the floor 12 inches. In an ornate, historic space like this, care and precision to preserve the existing craftsmanship guide every day of work.

A belated happy new year to all. We’ve been quietly finishing up our latest project with Salem Five. We’ll keep it brief and just let you admire the beauty of that chandelier.

Halloween season is in full swing in downtown Salem, but the Berkeley crew isn’t slowing down! At Salem Five, major progress is underway on the second and third floor renovations.

One of our biggest achievements so far with this project has been the careful removal of the 120-year-old rotunda from the third floor. Serving as support for the main portion of the roof, the removal of the rotunda required extensive preconstruction planning and precise ex*****on.

Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection rough-ins are underway throughout the space, as is the drywall installation, bringing new life and definition to the future offices.

For years, Berkeley has been committed to historical preservation, and we’re proud to continue that tradition with this landmark building. Thank you, Salem Five, for trusting us to help build your next chapter.

An exciting update is in progress at the Hancock United Church of Christ in Lexington! The Berkeley team has been hard at work on renovation of the sanctuary, with a strong focus on making this historic 1892 chancel fully wheelchair accessible. Refinished interiors, a lighting refresh, and a modern HVAC system with efficient air-source heat pumps are just some of the many upgrades in progress. Berkeley is committed to ensuring that the sanctuary remains a welcoming and vibrant space for generations to come, while still keeping preservation at the forefront of the renovation.

The Berkeley team is closing out another summer of higher education renovations at Northeastern University. The Grounds Crew lounge and locker room space at Smith Hall has received a total transformation, with renovations including an updated kitchenette and bathrooms.
