A new funding opportunity is available for public projects across Pennsylvania.

The 2026 Statewide Local Share Account (LSA) Grant provides funding for eligible projects, including infrastructure improvements, construction and rehabilitation, equipment purchases, planning and design, and more.

Applications open September 1 and are due November 30, 2026.

The best office views don't come with four walls.

In recognition of Water Quality Month, we're highlighting some of the field work that supports responsible water resource management.

Before an aquifer test begins, our team installs a temporary V-notch weir to measure streamflow. By monitoring streamflow before and during pumping, we can determine whether a nearby pumping well has any measurable effect on the stream.

Good science starts with quality field work; and reliable decisions begin with accurate data.

One of the highlights of this year's Work in Reading Day was our version of "show and tell."

Each department had the opportunity to share projects, technologies, and the work they're doing with colleagues from across SSM. It was a fun way to learn from one another and get a better understanding of the wide range of expertise that exists throughout the company.

Every few months, we trade Teams calls for face-to-face conversations.

Our Work in Reading Day brings employees from across our offices, hybrid, and remote teams together for a day of connection, collaboration, and a little fun.

One of the best parts? Seeing colleagues who don't get to work side-by-side every day reconnect in person.

Add in great food, some picnic fun, and conversations you just can't have over video, and it makes for a fantastic day.

We believe great culture is built by creating meaningful opportunities to connect, collaborate, and enjoy being part of the same team. That's what Work in Reading Day is all about.

We're excited to welcome Bryan Panther, PE, to Spotts, Stevens and McCoy as a Senior Engineer in our Water and Wastewater group.

Based in our Lancaster office, Bryan brings 20 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design, and construction. He joins a team dedicated to helping municipalities, authorities, and industries address infrastructure challenges and plan for the future.
