Flagger
You are responsible for flagging for traffic while armor coating. You will also be responsible for helping to prepare the road surfaces for resurfacing - this includes weeding edges, manual brooming and using our broom tractors. This position is your primary job. No experience necessary as we will provide on the job training. We will also provide testing to receive your flagger certification with the state of Nebraska.
Equipment Operator
As an equipment operator, you will be trained on the job to operate our broom tractors, rubber rollers, and steel rollers. You will be responsible for ensuring the equipment is in proper working order each morning, running the equipment as necessary during the workday, and ensuring it is secured at the end of the day. This is a secondary position to flagging and we highly encourage you to gain this experience on the job. No experience necessary.
Housing and Transportation
This position does require working outside the local area. We provide transportation to and from the work site each day, both when working in the local area and outside the local area. We provide campers for housing when the worksites are far outside the local area. It is expected that you will stay in the campers at our cost (or other lodging of your choice provided at your own cost) from Sunday evening through the end of the workday on Friday. If you choose not to stay close to the worksite, you will be responsible for providing your own transportation to the worksite each day and you are expected to be on the site at the start of the workday.
Driver's License
A valid driver's license is required.
Age
Because we work out of the local area, we do require that applicants be at least 18 years of age.
Seasonal Employer
Figgins Construction is a seasonal employer. Our work season generally runs from the beginning of April through October/November and is entirely dependent upon the weather conditions. Because we are seasonal, you will be eligible to apply for unemployment during our off-season.

The company provides water and Gatorade in company coolers throughout the workday.
The company pays for the noon meal. If you choose not to eat what is provided, you are responsible for providing your own noon meal.
