Gurl! ✨ One upgrade. A completely different feel.

As part of this whole-home remodel, we transformed a standard painted staircase into a warm, modern architectural feature with rich stained wood handrails, black iron balusters, and a matching wall-mounted grab rail.

A special thank you to Lydia Nickelson | Oregon Interior Designer for encouraging this staircase upgrade and selecting a design that beautifully complements the rest of the home. We loved collaborating to bring the vision to life.

It’s often the thoughtful details that have the biggest impact. Updating the staircase brought warmth, character, and a custom feel that ties the entire remodel together.

Check out these after photos of our recent remodel!

Working against a tight timeline, meant making fast, smart decisions our main goals were improving, functionality, and safety, while adding those personal touches that turn a house into a home.

Here is how we completely transformed the space:

1. We tore down the wall between the living room and kitchen to create an open connected space.

2. Out with the old carpet and linoleum, replaced with clean durable, new LVP flooring, courtesy of, Floor Coverings International | Bend

3. We removed the dated cabinets and counter tops and installed the fresh functional kitchen layout.

4. We rewired the lighting to places where it actually makes sense and installed updated fixtures.

5. Topped it off with a fresh coat of paint everywhere and new hardware on doors and cabinets to tie everything together.

With such a short timeline, absolutely none of this would’ve been possible without our designer Lydia Nickelson | Oregon Interior Designer ❤️

One wall changed everything.

Sometimes the biggest transformations come from a single structural change.

By removing the wall between the living room and kitchen, we've completely opened the flow of this home. Even while the project is still underway, the space already feels brighter, larger, and far more connected.

This remodel also includes:

• A redesigned kitchen layout for improved functionality
• New cabinetry
• Luxury vinyl plank flooring
• Fresh paint and updated finishes

We can't wait to share the finished reveal.
