Living with tumor hyperinsulinism (HI) can mean managing unpredictable, and sometimes severe, episodes of low blood sugar that may require hospitalization and can delay or interrupt tumor-directed treatment.

Current options for controlling blood sugar often have limitations, such as inadequate effectiveness or burdensome side effects. There is an urgent need for new, effective treatments to reduce the burden of this potentially life-threatening condition.

Today we announced completion of enrollment in our Phase 3 upLIFT study of ersodetug in tumor hyperinsulinism. Topline data are expected in mid-December of this year.

We look forward to bringing this study to completion, and we are deeply grateful to the patients, families, investigators and advocacy groups whose dedication and partnership have enabled us to reach this point.

We spent the past weekend in Wiltshire, England, with an inspiring community at Insulinoma Charity UK’s Insulinoma (Pilot) Retreat.

October is , a time to raise awareness of liver cancer and recognize the individuals and families affected by it. This month, we’re highlighting a rare but potentially serious complication that may occur with some tumors: persistent or recurring hypoglycemia, known as tumor hyperinsulinism or non-islet cell tumor hypoglycemia.

Some tumors, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), may affect the body’s ability to regulate glucose, resulting in abnormally low blood sugar. Severe and frequent episodes of hypoglycemia can lead to serious short and long-term complications, including cognitive decline and increased mortality.

Today we announced FDA's recommendation to hold a pre-BLA meeting as a precursor to submitting a Biologics License Application (BLA) for congenital hyperinsulinism (HI).

We appreciate FDA’s thorough review of the extensive body of data generated in sunRIZE, and we share the Agency’s commitment to addressing the significant unmet needs of patients living with rare diseases like congenital HI.
