Some forms of hypoglycemia share a common feature: excessive signaling at the insulin receptor. This is known as hyperinsulinism, or HI for short.

Our investigational therapy, ersodetug*, is designed to act at that receptor which is why it has the potential to be universally effective at treating refractory hypoglycemia due to any form of HI, including congenital HI, tumor HI (insulinoma, non-islet cell tumors) or bariatric and non-bariatric gastrointestinal surgery hypoglycemia (GISH).

The administration of ersodetug through our Expanded Access Program (EAP) resulted in reduced hypoglycemia burden for patients, including the ability to discontinue parenteral glucose infusion and allowing discharge from hospital in individuals with severe, refractory tumor HI.

Weโ€™ll be at the Midwest Endocrinology Society Annual Meeting in Bloomington, MN for the next few days, connecting with leaders across the endocrinology community.

We are looking forward to engaging in discussions about advancing hyperinsulinism care and raising awareness of this life-threatening rare disease. Please stop by to say hello to our team!

Congenital hyperinsulinism (HI) is a life-threatening rare disease most commonly diagnosed in the first year of life, with the potential for serious, lasting neurologic consequences. Unfortunately, today's treatment options often have suboptimal efficacy, are poorly tolerated, and come with serious safety concerns.

We're working to change that. Learn how we're developing a novel therapy designed to treat all forms of HI: https://bit.ly/4fUkXsi

Over the weekend, we attended the Texas Endocrinology Associationโ€™s 2026 Annual Meeting in Dallas. We were grateful to connect with endocrinologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss opportunities to increase awareness of rare endocrine diseases associated with hyperinsulinism and help improve patient care.

We're proud that UT MD Anderson is a participating site in the upLIFT clinical trial and is actively enrolling eligible patients with tumor-induced refractory hypoglycemia.
