Red Leaf Pulp

Red Leaf Pulp Red Leaf's process is an environmentally conscious pulping method that will revolutionize the paper industry.

Pulp generated from non-wood fibres has physical characteristics that are comparable to hardwood and superior to recycled fibre. Red Leaf was established by a group of experienced pulp and paper industry professionals looking to capitalize on the shift to providing a more sustainable pulp product to the market. Red Leaf will produce an agricultural fibre pulp that will be sustainable in both produ

ction and use. Red Leaf will be Canada’s first entity to develop, construct, and operate an alternative fibre and renewable energy facility. The Red Leaf team is comprised of industry leaders in all stages of project ex*****on and includes people with mill operations and maintenance experience. Red Leaf is experienced in managing all aspects of a project from concept generation, strategy, planning, design, construction and commissioning. Through Red Leaf's process and energy integration capabilities, opportunities to lower production costs while optimizing energy usage and power production will be further identified. The Red Leaf process uses proven off-the-shelf equipment and will produce economic quantities of market pulp from wheat straw at scale for the first time in North America. The key innovations that unlock fibre production at scale are a result of Red Leaf’s drive to solve a global problem: How to use byproducts of alternative fibre production. Red Leaf has established a climate-positive pathway to convert the byproducts and displace fossil-fuel based energy. Looking forward, Red Leaf will develop several agricultural fibre pulp plants in Canada over the next 10-15 years, and prove to be a key player in the movement to providing sustainable non-wood fibre pulps to the market.

A new local market for wheat straw is taking shape in Saskatchewan.

As Red Leaf Pulp advances its Regina project, producers have the opportunity to participate in a growing supply chain built around agricultural residue.

Our facility is designed to source wheat straw from farms across the region, creating additional value from existing harvest outputs while supporting long-term fibre demand.

From planning to ex*****on.

Red Leaf Pulp is preparing to break ground on its Regina facility, designed to convert wheat straw into pulp for packaging, tissue, and paper products.

The goal is straightforward. We take an underused part of the crop and turn it into a reliable, high-value input for pulp production. A system where straw has a consistent demand and real market value.

Momentum is building, and the next phase is underway.

Excited to keep the momentum going.

Wishing all our producers a strong start to seeding season 🌾

To the Saskatchewan farmers getting underway, we know what this time of year takes. Early mornings, long days, and a level of focus that doesn’t go unnoticed.

While you’re putting this year’s crop in the ground, we’re continuing to build toward something bigger as well. The wheat straw left after harvest isn’t waste; it’s a new opportunity. One that turns an existing byproduct into a reliable, long-term revenue stream. No changes to how you farm. Just more value from what’s already there.

Good luck this season - we’re right behind you.
