Update as of 2:45 for the : Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District has reported that forward progress on the fire has stopped. Some evacuation orders have been lifted, below is the updated evacuation map as of 2:35pm.

Update as of 12:40pm: Reno Fire Department has 8 rigs and a Battalion Chief currently supporting the Fire. Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District is reporting the fire at 100 acres with approximately 3,000 people impacted by evacuations. Updated evacuation map below. Please continue to follow www.perimetermap.com for evacuation updates. NV Energy has reported approximately 5500 customers without power.

Please Share: The Reno Fire Department is assisting Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District with an active wildfire in south Reno. This is a wind-driven fire with a fast rate of speed. Multiple agencies are responding. Please avoid the area and follow evacuation instructions.
Evacuation orders are in place. The current evacuation map is below. The evacuation point is South Valleys Library with large animal evacuation at the Reno Livestock Events Center.
Mt Rose Highway is closed both directions from Wedge Parkway to Timberline to accommodate evacuations and wildfire efforts.
