I took the DJI Air S3 out over Eagle Canyon and the Damonte Ranch Plateau (Peak 6405) in south Reno and stitched together this 4K aerial tour. This loop links Eagle Canyon with the Louse and Camelback bumps above Damonte Ranch, with big views of Mt. Rose, the Truckee Meadows, and the Virginia Range.

This area is sometimes called Damonte Canyon in hiking guides, and it’s a rugged, lightly traveled route that’s generally best from December through May. If you’ve ever looked up at those rocky hills behind Damonte Ranch High School and wondered what it looks like from above, this video is for you.

I’ve been lucky to fly my drone all over the U.S., but Kapalua Beach in Maui is definitely one of my favorites! 😎🌴🏖️
