Three SCS professionals. Three major industry honors.

Solid Waste Association of North America recognized Michelle Leonard, Pete Carrico and Eric Peterson with 2026 Professional Achievement Awards for contributions that extend beyond their work at SCS and strengthen the waste and resource management industry.

Michelle received the Robert L. Lawrence Distinguished Service Award, SWANA’s highest honor and an award reserved for exceptional service beyond an individual’s professional responsibilities.

Pete was inducted into the Landfill Gas & Biogas Hall of Flame for his significant contributions to the landfill gas industry.

Eric received the Landfill Gas & Biogas Distinguished Individual Achievement Award, recognizing his dedication to the technical division, service to the industry and commitment to advancing the conversion of waste into a resource.

Celebrated at RCon, these honors reflect the leadership and commitment Michelle, Pete and Eric have demonstrated throughout their careers. Congratulations to all three recipients!
