SCS is sponsoring, attending, and presenting at the 12th Annual CCR Workshop, June 23–25, 2026, at the Westin Indianapolis. Hosted by Utility Solid Waste Activities Group (USWAG), the event brings together professionals addressing evolving technical and regulatory challenges related to CCR.

Kacey Garber, P.G. and Monte Markley, P.G. will present “From Compliance to Strategic Asset: Rethinking Liquid Waste Management with Deep Well Injection” during Session 5B (June 25, 8:00–9:30 AM). Their presentation highlights how deep well injection can provide long-term certainty by offering durable, flexible, and permanent disposal of compatible liquids. It also covers when this approach makes business sense and key feasibility considerations, such as waste characteristics, site and geologic conditions, and permitting, while emphasizing its value as a strategic, long-term solution to reduce risk, cost uncertainty, and reliance on offsite disposal.

We had a great time at SWANA WRS 2026 connecting with industry peers, sharing insights, and supporting the solid waste community.
