Vanderbilt University has named Christopher Scolese, former director of the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and the renowned NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, to lead the new Vanderbilt Institute for Innovations Beyond Earth. 🚀

VIIBE will foster advanced, interdisciplinary research related to near-Earth and space technologies, bringing together Vanderbilt expertise in aeronautical engineering, mechatronics, autonomous systems, energy management and biomedical adaptation.

Our AIAA team got an all-access tour of "Miss Mitchell," the beautifully restored B-25J bomber, from the cockpit to the bomb bay to the tail gunner's post.
