At first glance, it’s a small change.

A mast is still a mast.

We moved from powder-coated masts to galvanized masts across our Solar Camera Trailers, Tower Skids, and Micro-Skids.

Why?

Because durability isn’t measured when a product leaves the shop.

It’s measured years later.

Galvanized steel offers longer-lasting protection against corrosion, handles scratches differently, and continues protecting the underlying steel even after the surface gets damaged.

For Solar Power equipment designed to live outdoors year-round, that’s a meaningful advantage.

The truth is, we spend a lot of time thinking about details most people never see.

Not because we’re obsessed with details.

Because those details become reliability.

Most product changes happen because something is broken.

This one happened because we saw an opportunity to make something good... even better.

For years, we've used powder-coated masts on our Solar Camera Trailers, Tower Skids, and Micro-Skids.

They've performed well in the field.

But earlier last year, we made the switch to galvanized masts.

Why?

Because when you're building equipment that's expected to spend many years outdoors, "good" isn't the finish line.

Galvanized steel provides longer-lasting corrosion protection, better resistance to scratches, and holds up exceptionally well in harsh environments.

Does it cost us more?

Yep.

Did we make the change anyway?

Also yep.
