SNF Expands Its Oil & Gas Capabilities

We are pleased to announce that SNF has acquired Obsidian Chemical Solutions LLC, a leading specialty chemical solutions provider for the oil & gas industry based in Midland, Texas.

This acquisition strengthens our presence in the Permian Basin, expands our manufacturing and storage capabilities, and enables us to deliver a broader range of customized solutions—including stimulation, acidizing, drill-out, cementing, and produced water treatment—to better serve our customers.

The target closing dates are imminent. These strategic acquisitions reinforce SNF's commitment to delivering best-in-class solutions and underscores SNF's dedication to driving long-term value for our upstream oil and gas customers.

PfP Industries is a global leader in 'dry on the fly' and slurry friction reducer technologies and applications. It has been a trusted solution provider for decades. Similarly, Ace Fluid Solutions, with its expertise in fluid management, has built a strong reputation for offering innovative technologies and unparalleled service to its customers in the Permian Basin.

SNF Holding Company Selected to Receive the 2023 Chemical Transportation Safety Pinnacle Award from Union Pacific Railroad

On April 30, 2024, Union Pacific Railroad selected SNF Holding Company (SNFHC) as one of 137 partner companies to receive their 2023 Chemical Transportation Safety Pinnacle Award for performance and commitment to safely transporting regulated hazardous materials by rail.

This award recognizes SNFHC's safe chemical rail loading practices, the implementation of release prevention protocols, and corrective action plans to eliminate accidental releases in 2023.

SNFHC's pledge to operate under Responsible Care® is evident daily, and this award further demonstrates our employees' commitment to safety, the environment, and the communities we serve. We thank and appreciate all employees who made this achievement possible.

On Saturday October 14th, 2023, SNF Holding Company hosted The 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament supporting Relay For Life of Liberty County GA was held at the Sapelo Hammock Golf Club in Shellman Bluff, GA.

The event was A HUGE success with 26 teams taking part in the event. This was SNF's largest turnout for the charity golf event to date. With proceeds from event registrations; donations; raffle ticket, mulligan, and string sales; and a silent auction; MORE THAN $18,000 was raised by SNF employees, vendors, and customers. These funds will go directly to Relay for Life of Liberty County, Georgia.

The funds will be used to fund research for cancer eradication, as well as assist citizens in the areas surrounding SNF in Riceboro with medical transportation and other cancer-related services and programs.

The SNF Relay for Life Team looks forward to next year where we all hope to continue our increased contributions to the cause!

SNF has completed a two-year-long construction and expansion of ADAM (dimethylaminoethyl acrylate) monomer production capacity at our facility in Riceboro, Georgia. This expansion increases SNF’s U.S. ADAM capacity by 80%. ADAM is the main feedstock for ADC80 cationic monomer, an essential component in all SNF cationic polyacrylamide-based polymers.

This new ADAM monomer capacity features a new catalyst that provides more process flexibility with an improved safety profile for our employees. Further, methanol, a by-product of ADAM production, will be used as a fuel source, making the process more sustainable and less reliant on natural gas.

This expansion represents SNF’s ongoing commitment to meet the increasing demand for cationic polyacrylamide-based polymers in wastewater treatment, oil & gas, and paper applications.
