A Richmond native was commissioned by St. Paul's Episcopal Church to create “stations” in the sanctuary – cut from Tyvek® – that depict specific moments in St. Paul's history with a focus on race relations.

The hand-cut silhouettes, intricate and layered with hidden but meaningful details, illustrate a history of systemic racism at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, once known as the “Cathedral of the Confederacy.”

Spruance donates trailers to Central Virginia Healthcare Coalition

With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to evolve, DuPont is always looking for ways to help organizations in our community.

After determining we had two large trailers that we didn’t need any more at the site, the Spruance Team decided to donate them to an organization – the Central Virginia Healthcare Coalition (CVHC)– that is always in need of equipment to help them do their important work. The CVHC is one of six healthcare coalitions in Virginia. It is through regional structure of these coalitions, that the Department of Health and Hospital and Healthcare Association can work with hospitals and healthcare facilities to enhance their capabilities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from a wide range of public health and healthcare emergencies.

Donations like the one DuPont made will make a huge difference in helping hospitals deal with surge events, like what we’ve seen during the pandemic. Specifically, these two trailers will be used to help with training, move support equipment, and more importantly, help release much anxiety for frontline healthcare professionals.

According to Steve Parrot, CVHC Director, “The ability to receive a donation from our community partner like DuPont will help us to mobilize and distribute equipment to hospitals when they need it most. Thank you, DuPonters!”
