Another beautiful retaining wall completed on Edgewood Ave in Mill Valley! 🧱✨

This build was fairly smooth overall, but the real challenge was coordinating with the neighbors and ensuring access at certain times of the day. 🚧🤝 We worked closely with the City of Mill Valley to make sure everyone’s needs were met—while still allowing Farallon Company to excel and complete this stunning wall. 💪🏽🏗️

The road is now stable, and the homes below are protected from falling roadway debris. 🛣️🏡✅

Huge shoutout to the Farallon crew for working tirelessly to get this project done on time! 🔥👏

Here are some highlights:

Two heavily engineered retaining walls

80 piers ranging from 20 to 30 feet deep
●
One wood retaining wall
●
Over a mile of storm and sub drainage
●
Three distribution outfalls with rip-wrap
●
Hydro seed along the hillside. 🌱

We’re excited to share the successful completion of a challenging and meticulous project earlier this year. Here’s a look at what went into it:

• 🏗️ Soldier Pile Walls – Built two soldier pile walls to support a driveway and stabilize equipment entrances.
• 🧱 Retaining Walls & Staircases – Constructed retaining walls and staircases leading down to the pool deck.
• 🌊 Drainage Systems – Installed critical drainage systems and water management solutions.
• ⚡ Utilities Connection – Connected electrical and water services across the property.
• 🛠️ Deck Foundation – Drilled vertical beams into piles for a solid foundation for the deck construction.
• 💧 Drainage Dissipation – Added systems at the bottom of the property to ensure optimal water flow.

Though it was a small-scale project, it posed unique challenges, and we’re proud to have shaped this site beautifully for the landscape contractor to finish up!

🏗️✨ Proud to showcase our latest project at Farallon Company! We’ve just completed a stunning 500-foot driveway installation, complete with a brand-new water service line and five fire hose stations strategically placed for safety. 🔥⛑️

But that’s not all! We’ve also added electrical outlets and low-voltage lights along the entire stretch, ensuring functionality and a touch of elegance, even after dark. 🌟

Not to mention the meticulous soil reconditioning and stabilization efforts that preceded our concrete pouring, guaranteeing a solid foundation for years to come. 🌱💪

🌟 Emergency Hillside Repair Success Story 🌟

Farallon Company jumped into action while using innovative solutions in tackling a critical situation in Burlingame! Facing potential erosion threats to four homes, we didn’t hesitate to come up with a three-step plan:

1️⃣ Regrading the hillside: Pushing hundreds of yards uphill at a 55-degree slope. 💪
2️⃣ Compacting the regraded earth: Using a 951 track loader to ensure stability. 🚜
3️⃣ Reinforcing with a heavy sun-resistant liner and sandbags: Placing them strategically to hold everything in place. 🛠️

Their dedication through the winter months saved these homes from disaster. Farallon was quick to respond and worked effectively !🏡
