Howdy Pecan Grove, there was a power fluctuation north of Plantation Dr this afternoon which has caused many compressors to go through what we call a “short cycle” and has caused them to over heat. If you get home from work/school and find your unit blowing hot air inside then try turning your unit off for 30-45 minutes to allow the compressor to cool off before restarting.

There was a rapid power fluctuation in the PG area at around 9:25pm. If you’re AC was running when this happened you might have experienced a compressor short cycle, this can leave your compressor inoperable until turned off and allowed to cool down. Turn your thermostat from “cool” to “off”. Recommend leaving it off for thirty minutes to an hour to cool down properly, after that you should be good to go and set it back to “cool”.
