What does a Press Brake Operator do?

Simply put, a press brake operator takes flat pieces of metal and bends them into specific shapes and angles using a machine. This involves reading blueprints, setting up the machine, selecting the right tools, making accurate bends, and checking measurements to ensure every part is made correctly.

💰 PAY: $18–$30/hour
Based on experience, skill level, and willingness to hustle!

WHAT IS A PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR?

You may have never heard the words “press brake” before—but chances are, you see things made on one every single day.

A press brake is a machine used to bend and form sheet metal into specific shapes and angles. An operator takes a flat piece of metal, reads a blueprint to understand exactly how the finished part should look, selects the proper tooling, sets up the machine, and carefully bends the metal to the correct dimensions.

• Performing necessary routine machine maintenance

🔧 #2 GENERAL LABORER

A great opportunity for someone interested in learning the metal fabrication industry and gaining hands-on shop experience.

• Grinding and cleaning fabricated parts
• Deburring parts
• Installing PEM hardware
• Assisting with general shop and production tasks
• Helping keep work areas clean and organized
