Will is welcomed by proud parents, Ashley and Collin Wilson. Collin is the Plant Manager for MMC Materials plants in Columbus and West Point. Collin is pictured here alongside proud grandfather Jeff Wilson, who is our Operations Manager for the Golden Triangle area.

MMC Materials recently welcomed high school students interested in engineering and construction to our Vicksburg plant as part of a visit hosted by Fordice Construction.

Students had the opportunity to see how concrete is batched, learn more about the production process, and even get hands-on experience placing and finishing concrete.

Experiences like these help connect students to the many opportunities available across the construction industry and show how the work happening today helps build tomorrow’s communities. Thank you to Fordice Construction for partnering with us and investing in the next generation!

MMC Materials recently welcomed students from The University of Southern Mississippi's School of Construction & Design Summer Camp to our Hattiesburg plant for a behind-the-scenes look at ready-mix concrete production.

Students learned how a concrete plant operates, explored the materials used to produce concrete, and observed field testing on freshly batched concrete to see quality in action.

Experiences like these help introduce students to careers in construction and connect classroom learning to the real world. Thank you to USM for spending part of the week with our team!

Congratulations to Gordon Gipson of our Gulf Coast Alabama division on taking home the Parallel Park Champion title at the 2026 Alabama Concrete Industries Association Truck Driving Championship! 🏆

Competing alongside some of the best drivers in the state, Gordon demonstrated the precision, focus, and skill that our drivers bring to the job every day. Events like this highlight the professionalism and safety mindset that keep our industry moving forward.

We hope everyone enjoys time with family and friends this weekend. All our locations will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day, and our teams will be back in action supporting projects across the region on Tuesday morning.
