Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and leadership of women everywhere — especially the incredible women helping shape the future of construction. 🔧👷‍♀️

In an industry that hasn’t always made room for us, women continue to show up, speak up, and take the seats at the tables we deserve. Spaces like this — where women in construction gather, share experiences, support one another, and grow together — are powerful reminders that we are building more than projects… we’re building opportunity, confidence, and community.

To every woman working in construction: your voice matters, your skills matter, and your presence at the table matters. Never question the seat you’ve earned. 💪

Happy International Women’s Day to the women who are breaking barriers, lifting each other up, and paving the way for the next generation.

The gender pay gap just widened for the second year in a row—women now earn only 80.9 cents on the dollar, the lowest since 2016. Attacks on DEI and a worsening job market are reversing decades of progress. Time for real change.

Read the eye-opening report:

Sometimes I come across a story that reminds me what real strength looks like.

In 1997, Julia Butterfly Hill climbed 180 feet into an ancient redwood named Luna. She expected to stay for a few days. Instead, she lived on a small platform for 738 days of storms, freezing nights, isolation, and intimidation.

Loggers cut down trees around her to scare her.
Helicopters flew dangerously close to shake her platform.
Men surrounded the base of the tree trying to rattle her into giving up.

But she didn’t come down.
Not until Luna was permanently protected.

One woman.
One tree.
Two years.
And she saved something that would’ve been lost forever.

What I love about this story is the quiet kind of strength behind it...the kind that doesn’t need noise, approval, or applause. The kind that looks unreasonable until it succeeds.
The kind women carry every day in boardrooms, job sites, negotiations, and in circles where we’re often underestimated the most.

It’s a reminder that persistence is powerful.
And that when a woman decides she’s not giving up…
you’d be surprised what she can protect, build, or change.

Here’s to the ones who stand their ground.
The ones who keep showing up even when people try to shake us.
The ones who weather intimidation, pressure, and noise and still refuse to climb down.

I see you.
And I’m one of you

Feeling Thankful Today 💛👷‍♀️

As we head into the holiday season, I just want to take a moment to express how truly grateful I am for the incredible women in this group.

Every day, you show what strength, grit, leadership, and heart look like in an industry that hasn’t always been built with us in mind. From the job sites to the design tables, from management to the field—you continue to break barriers, inspire the next generation, and prove that excellence has no gender.

Thank you for supporting one another, and lifting each other up. This community is powerful because of YOU.

Here’s to the women who build, lead, innovate, and keep the construction world moving forward. 💪🏽✨
Today we are grateful for all of you—today and every day.

This resonated with me. Working in a predominantly male industry doesn’t mean I have to dismiss the feminine parts of myself that make me who I am.
