Where structural support for your foundation and waterproofing go hand in hand!

What is a tieback?

💧 Tiebacks are steel anchors drilled through a retaining/shoring wall and secured into the soil or rock behind it. They help hold the wall in place against the pressure of the surrounding earth, especially on deep excavations and below-grade construction.

The challenge is that the tieback penetrates or interrupts the waterproofing area, creating a potential pathway for water. Our skilled waterproofing experts have to carefully detail and seal around each tieback so the waterproofing system remains continuous.

Why create a tieback cover?

💧 A tieback cover is essentially a protective/detailing component installed around the tieback location. The waterproofing membrane is integrated and sealed around the cover to create a watertight transition around the pe*******on.

Breakdown:

Tieback = holds the wall/excavation
Tieback cover = helps isolate the pe*******on
Waterproofing membrane = keeps the structure dry

A waterproofing system is only as strong as its most vulnerable pe*******on. Tieback covers help seal and protect those difficult areas before they’re hidden behind your foundation.

“Sometimes, with the right preparation. Every product has its own temperature requirements. Temporary roofing or tenting may be needed to keep the work area dry, warm, and ready for proper installation. Active weather means we wait, or protect the work area first.”

Behind every animal that enters the show ring are countless early mornings, late nights, lessons learned, and hours of hard work and dedication.
