PSA with these extreme cold temperatures a few key things to look out for if you have a heat pump. You may experience a few operations you aren’t used to seeing. Your system may make noises you’ve never heard before the outdoor fan may stop briefly and you could see steam coming out of the system. This is normal defrost cycle. You may also see your outdoor stop, running totally and your thermostat revert to auxiliary heat strips. This is also normal depending on the temperature lockout your thermostat is set for if you experience a loss of heat or have any concerns with the operation of your system, give us a call at 912-712-8991.
